The mission of the 67-year old, all-volunteer Association is to encourage and assist in the study, preservation, and understanding of New Hampshire’s history. Members are a crucial support to this important mission.

Join Us!

After a dormant period, the 66-year old, all-volunteer Association of Historical Societies of New Hampshire has renewed its commitment to serving local historical societies and organizations. The Board is enthusiastic about refreshing core resources like the Association Directory, and is also focused on presenting members with new offerings in conjunction with partners like the New Hampshire Historical Society and the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance.

If you support or lead a local historical societies, the Association wants to partner with you. Look for outreach from the Association this summer, outlining plans for the future and providing an opportunity to update your organization's directory information. If you choose to renew your membership, you can also call on the Association to help promote your work and strengthen your connection with peers and colleagues around the Granite State.
